What I've learned in my Car Buying Experiences....

Once you have decided on which vehicle you would like to purchase, you can take the following suggestions into consideration. One thing to keep in mind, is patience is your friend.
Number 1....Research, the internet is your friend, also anyone that you know in the "business" that is willing to assist you, let them..to a point.
Number 2....Research, the internet is your friend, also anyone that you know in the "business" that is willing to assist you, let them..to a point.
Number 3.... Follow steps 1 & 2 again and do not limit your search to just your local area. Search for vehicles within a 300 mile radius, are farther if you are willing. Pretty soon, you will realize you know more about the vehicle you are looking for than the dealership does. Most of the sites have the same listings, but some of the info can vary. Look at Edmunds, Vehix, AutoTrader, Cars.com, and eBay. Many dealerships will put some of their inventory on eBay as well as their own sites and others. CarFax or AutoCheck subscriptions help a lot also.
Number 4....Get quotes from different dealerships. Once you have a plethara of quotes, send the best quote around again, to all of the dealerships originally contacted and any additional.
Number 5....At this point you start weeding out the dealerships
Number 6....No mater how much negotiation takes place over the phone or via email, get something in writing before driving too far to a dealership (This is where I did not listen to my own advice and wasted a day driving to Houston)

For the moment, I am putting our new vehicle search on hold, as mentioned patience is your friend. Pretty soon, after these vehicles sit on the lots long enough, the offers that you gave the dealerships 2 months prior, start looking good to them.
If anyone else has any suggestions, then please let me know.
